Affenpinschers are small, sturdy, and well-proportioned dogs with a distinctive monkey-like face. They have round, dark eyes, a short nose, and a curious, alert expression. Their ears are either cropped to a point or left natural, and their tails are often docked. The Affenpinscher has a rough, shaggy coat that comes in various colors, including black, gray, silver, and red.
