Species Overview

The Gargoyle Gecko (Rhacodactylus auriculatus) is native to the forests of New Caledonia. Its horn-like cranial projections resemble stone gargoyles, giving the species its common name.

Note: The Gargoyle Gecko is not the same species as the Crested Gecko, despite similar origins.
